Protecting Your Spring Home From Damaging Termites
Termites are bad news for any structure in Spring and the surrounding areas. If your home has no protection from these wood-destroying creatures, it is at risk of an infestation, and once one occurs, your house can sustain serious damage before you discover the infestation. Most homeowners’ insurance does not cover damage caused by termites, which could leave you with a hefty repair bill.
If you have any reason to believe that termites have gotten into your house, or if you’d like to take action to prevent a termite infestation before it has a chance to begin, Pest Arrest can help. We have been serving Spring for over 20 years with effective, proven termite control services, and we are ready to protect your house from termite damage.
Our Termite Control Process
Identifying active termites within your walls allows us to target our treatments for the quickest elimination possible. We’ll inspect the following areas of your home, looking for any signs of termites or termite damage:
- Foundation perimeter
- Under splash guards
- Wood joists and piers in crawl space, if applicable
Once we’ve performed a detailed inspection, we’ll provide your home with complete termite control. We use several termite control methods to eliminate active termite colonies and prevent termites from getting inside in the future.
We use Termidor® to eliminate your active termite colonies. Termidor® is efficient and thorough. It is undetectable to termites, so they can’t avoid it. It also has the “transfer effect.” When a termite comes in contact with Termidor®, they then pass it along to other colony members. Because of this effect, Termidor® can quickly move throughout the entire colony, efficiently eliminating it and protecting your house from future damage.
In addition to Termidor®, we also use the Exterra Baiting System. We install the bait stations in the ground at regular intervals around your house. When termites find the stations, they take the bait and bring it to other colony members, eventually eliminating the entire thing. Bait stations are an excellent way to prevent termite infestations from occurring.
Real Estate Inspections
If you are purchasing a home, your lender might require that you have a wood-destroying insect inspection before they approve your loan. This inspection will identify any areas in the house that may have been affected by a termite or other wood-destroying insect infestation. We perform these inspections and provide you with the necessary paperwork to move forward with your home buying process.
